Number Sense
There are 80 questions to be answered in 10 minutes with no calculator or scratch paper. Only blue, non-erasable pens are permitted for use. An answer is considered incorrect if it is answered incorrectly, not simplified, skipped, written over, or scratched out. An answer is only "skipped" if it is left blank, but there are answered questions after it. Each correct answer is worth 5 points, and incorrect answers are worth -4 points.

score = (5n) - (9w)
Where:
n equals the number of the last problem answered
w equals the number of incorrect answers

Calculator
The calculator test has 70 problems with a time limit of 30 minutes. A scientific or graphing calculator is necessary, and scratch work is allowed. Correct answers are worth 5 points and incorrect answers are worth -2 points. If a question is left blank, but there are answered questions after it, the question is wrong.

score = (5n) - (7w)
Where:
n equals the number of the last problem answered
w equals the number of incorrect answers

General Mathematics
General Math consists of 50 multiple choice questions, with a time limit of 40 minutes. Scratch paper is allowed. Use a #2 (HB) pencil. Each correctly answered question is worth 5 points and each incorrect answer is -2. Skipping questions is allowed without a penalty. If there is a tie, the person who misses the first problem loses.

score = (5n) - (7w)
Where:
n equals the number of the last problem answered
w equals the number of incorrect answers
